Seward Day Charters

Our daily Seward fishing charters are the most popular trips for the traveling or casual angler! We mainly operate the halibut-salmon-lingcod-rockfish combos that make our waters so famous, however in the heat of silver blitz we do offer half day salmon charters as well. Capt. Tat of PFISH is also widely recognized for his expertise in targeting saltwater kings in May, June and July.

Recent Reviews-
"I've been fishing Alaska for about 8 years and catching fish has never been an issue. What makes or breaks my 'experience' is the boat, or specifically, the Captain and Crew of the boat. After 3 years of fishing the waters of Seward I found Tat and his boat, and the 'Experiences' have been great. I've been out with Tat 3 times and I've sent friends and family to him. What makes me loyal to Tat is that when I've been dealing with him he's another fisherman who has the same goal as I do - Let's catch some fish and have a great time doing it. This is NOT like booking with a huge company that wants to get you out and back in as fast as possible, merely making sure you have your limit and thinking you'll be happy with that. Tat has taken the time to to engage the persons on the boat, talk about fishing and we all have input of the goal of what we want to catch and the best way to make that the experience we want. Honestly, if all you want is fish, got to J-Dock and buy some fish, but if you're a fisherman or someone looking for a fishing 'Experience', my boy Tat is the way to go. I'm not a paid spokesperson, as I may sound, but I'm a person who looks forward to my yearly fishing experience to Alaska almost every day of the year, and if it means as much to you, as it does me, then Tat should be your Captain. Getting to Alaska isn't cheap, so if you're going to do it, then do it right."  Todd Opacinch

"The best Charter service we fish with! Tat Tatterson knows his business and always finds the fish. He is an excellent Captain. We have fished with Tat in Alaska and Mexico and will do so again this year and into the future. He and his crew are fun to fish with and very professional and friendly. If you want to have a trip of a lifetime and catch fish book your next charter with pacificfishing.us.These guys are great.Good luck and tight lines." - Bob and Laura from Pennsylvania

"I took my two sons to Seward to catch fish and have a great time doing it. I can't say enough about the great time we had on the water with Tat and his crew Leslie, who were just fabulous. Tat put us on fish ever day and we left Seward with limits of silvers and halibut each of the 3 days we fished. Tat is an extremely knowledgeable Captain with plenty of experience in the waters around Seward and the outer islands. If you're looking to catch fish and really have fun doing it, I'd sign up to fish with Tat and crew on his boat the Carolyn. By the way, when the seas get a little bumpy on the outside, I want to be on the Carolyn!" - Mike, Andy & Cooper from Pasadena, CA

"This year was our second trip with Tat. Both times we loaded up on Halibut and King Salmon. My new favorite sound is 200' of line stripping off the reel after a King hooks up. This year Tat suggested we spend 2 nights at Port Ashton Lodge in Prince William sound. This gives you a lot more fishing time as the lodge is 2 hours closer to the best fishing spots. These guys know what they are doing. Thanks to Tat and crew for a memorable trip. They have me considering a trip to Mexico in the winter and our group is already talking about a return engagement in Seward next year."  - Brad Thomas, Denver, CO

So far we've set a new personal best for PFISH, booking a dozen mutli-day remote Alaska lodge trips for the 2012 season.  Look out toads of Montague!
Quick update on Mexico... the striped marlin have shown up (often in groups of ten or more) along with nice batches of wahoo.  Needless to say, we've re-rigged many lures with steel leaders :-)

Almost there.  Not much space left in the second half of July nor the first half of August.  Still a few salt King openings in early June.  By the way, our Mexico season has been (and still is) spectacular this year.  The water has stayed warm and the fish friendly all season.  Yellowtail are thick right now, and the dorado are showing already :-)

It's almost official, after viewing the 2011 halibut sport catch statistics, the powers that be have retreated in the attack to lower our catch limit to one halibut.  This should be enough ammunition for us to continue the 2 halibut of any size daily limit we enjoy in our area of Alaska.  YIPPEE!!!!

Watch a 240 lb. halibut get landed aboard the Carolyn.
