Seward Day Charters

our boat: the Carolyn

Our Boat: the Carolyn

Carolyn is a very stable, fast, and comfortable 33' aluminum vessel that is US Coast Guard 5 Star Safety Rated. While she could hold up to 12 passengers comfortably, we limit passengers to six per trip. She has a large heated cabin, a huge flybridge for nice days, a private head, state-of-the-art electronics, and she exceeds all required safety equipment.

Combo

The "Combo" is our most popular trip! We will typically be fishing for halibut as the primary species for this Seward fishing charter and will also target salmon (king and coho), ling cod and/or various species of rock fish depending on seasons and weather conditions. The captain will determine which species are targeted on a given day.

Please arrive at the Carolyn, on Slip K-3 by 6:45 AM for a 7:00 AM departure. Be sure to bring a lunch or snack and drinks however, please do not bring glass bottles as they have a tendency to lose their shape on the steel floors :-(. Be prepared to be out between 8 and 10 hours typically.

It's almost offical, after viewing the 2011 halibut sport catch statistics, the powers that be have retreated in the attack to lower our catch limit to one halibut.  This should be enough ammunition for us to continue the 2 halibut of any size daily limit we enjoy in our area of Alaska.  YIPPEE!!!!

Great start to the season... last week's top fish was a 185 lb halibut to go with the client's nice "white" king salmon.  Several 70-90 pound fish were also pulled aboard Carolyn last week.  Biologists predict great returns of both king and silver salmon... along with a very healthy halibut stock.  Come on up!

12/15/2010
Watch a 240 lb. halibut get landed aboard the Carolyn.
